We are pleased to inform you that the Center for Language and Cultural Studies at Green University of Bangladesh successfully organized a week-long Fest of Cultural and Language Activities 2025  from December 07, 2025, to December 10,2025. This festival aimed to celebrate linguistic diversity and promote the importance of preserving and respecting cultures. The event brought together students and faculty members in a vibrant celebration of language, culture, and creativity. Through a series of thoughtfully designed segments including performances, discussions, exhibitions, and competitions, the festival provided a meaningful platform for participants to express ideas, demonstrate skills, and engage in dialogue centered on equality and cultural harmony.A total of 261 students registered for the event. 

The festival featured the Spelling Bee Competition titled “Words of Equality,”
which was held on 7 December 2025 at 11:30 AM in Room A-302. The participants were challenged with a series of carefully designed and thought-provoking spelling quizzes that aligned closely with the overarching theme of equality, empowerment, and cultural awareness. Based on their performance, the top scorers were awarded prizes in recognition of their linguistic competence and confidence.

Spontaneous Speech event took place on 08 December 2025 at 1.30 pm at the Seminar Hall (A 302). The event aimed to celebrate linguistic diversity, cultural expression, and the empowering role of women’s voices in fostering an inclusive and equitable society. During the competition, participants were required to select a cue card and deliver a two-minute speech following one minute of preparation. The cue card topics were designed in alignment with the overarching themes of equality, empowerment, and cultural awareness. Based on their overall performance, including linguistic competence, coherence, and relevance to the assigned topic, the top scorers were awarded prizes in recognition.  

Continuous Storytelling Competition on 09 December 2025 at the Seminar Hall (A-302) was held with much enthusiasm.This year’s storytelling themes celebrated the voices and lived experiences of communities from across Bangladesh, including cultural resilience, and women empowerment. Students showcased exceptional originality, confidence, and cultural sensitivity by demonstrating speaking skills through the act of  storytelling. Top participants received some prizes in the event. 

Movie Screening & Pop Up Quiz competition  was held on 10 December 2025 at A 302, seminar hall. Three (03) international short films with prestigious awards took place in the screening event and pop-up quiz questions were asked after each film. Students were present and enjoyed the films with quiz segments with excitement. Instant prize giving session was there after quiz segments. This event gave our students an extraordinary chance to learn and practice English with recreational activities. 

This festival successfully fostered a spirit of inclusivity and appreciation for language and culture, emphasizing the significance of multilingualism in a globalized world. We sincerely appreciate the enthusiastic participation of students and faculty members, whose support made this event a grand success.
