Japanese Film Festival and Pop - Up Quiz_ International Mother Language Fest 2026

With a heart full of bliss and amity, the Embassy of Japan, Bangladesh, in collaboration with the Center for Language and Cultural Studies (CLCS), successfully organized a Japanese Film Festival and Pop-Up Quiz on 03 February 2025 at 1:30 PM (BST) in A-302 (Seminar Hall), Green University of Bangladesh. The event was marked by youthful enthusiasm, cultural engagement, and active participation. A total of 97 students attended the screening of the Japanese film “The Dancing Okami,” which offered valuable insight into Japanese culture and storytelling. The screening created an
interactive and enjoyable learning environment for the students. 

Following the film show, an instant PopUp Quiz was arranged where 10 students could complete the quiz session and received some token of appreciation from the Embassy of Japan. The program was honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including Mr. Yamamoto Kyohei, Deputy Head, Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh, and Ms. Kazi Bushra, Coordination Chief, Embassy of Japan, Bangladesh. Their participation added significance to the event and strengthened cultural and educational ties between Japan and Bangladesh.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Serajum Munira, Associate Professor of English and Director of the Center for Language and Cultural Studies, Green University of Bangladesh. All inclusive, the Japanese Film Festival and Pop-Up Quiz served as a successful platform for cultural exchange, student engagement, and cross-cultural learning. The collaborative effort between The Embassy of Japan and CLCS was highly appreciated by the participants, making the event both educational and memorable.
